Michael DeBlasi
Michael is a lifelong bike commuter and 'lite' transportation advocate.  He is on the board of the Cascade Bike Club (www.cascade.org), and his current commute is from West Seattle to Belltown.

"The automobile is a luxury that we abuse on a regular basis. By realizing the true cost of driving, we will begin to make changes in our habits to integrate walking, bikiing, public transit and telecommunicating," says DeBlasi.

How do you get to square one ? Try to live without your car for a week and then observe what is possible. Riding also has great health benefits without going through all the trouble of changing the whole US health care system.
